Main technical changes
The main change in the "Requirements for the Restriction of the Use of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" is that it replaces the old standard GB/T 26572-2011 "Requirements for the Limitation of Restricted Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" and its No. 1 amendment. The relevant technical changes are mainly in the following aspects:
1. Refined classification management: Added requirements for the classification of electrical and electronic products and the restriction of the use of hazardous substances.
2. Added new categories of hazardous substances: The types of restricted hazardous substances have been expanded from 6 to 10, and four new phthalates have been added.
3. Upgraded labeling methods: In the labeling requirements for the restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic products, new digital labeling forms such as QR codes and screen displays have been added to make it easier for consumers to obtain information about hazardous substances in products.
4. Transitional period regulations: For products produced or imported before the implementation of this document, they shall comply with relevant requirements starting from the 13th month from the date of implementation of this document.
5. Delete redundant content: Delete the content of electronic and electrical product splitting, typical splitting examples, etc. in the original standard to make the standard more concise and clear.
